The course objective is for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants to learn how to correctly perform the PWPE (ErgoScience's FCE system) and achieve certification as an ErgoScience PWPE administrator. The Physical Work Performance Evaluation (PWPE) is a functional capacity evaluation that has been researched for reliability and validity with the results of that research published in a peer-reviewed journal. The evaluation is used in determining the physical work abilities of an injured worker, in prescribing treatment for work-hardening or work-conditioning of the injured worker, disability determination, and in post-offer screening of newly hired employees. The course will involve lectures, videos, patient case examples and "hands on" practice with administering and scoring the performance of two patients using the ErgoScience PWPE's report-generating software. Upon successful completion of the course the participants will be certified to administer the Physical Work Performance Evaluation.

Take our FCE course online, or you can ask us to come to you. Courses are conducted by an ErgoScience certified trainer who is also an experienced industrial therapist. CEUs are earned for completion of the course.
