Joanne Williams

Jo is a New Zealand trained Physiotherapist who graduated from Otago Polytechnic School of Physiotherapy in 1988. Ms. Williams completed her Post-graduate diploma in Rehabilitation at Otago University in 1998 and Masters in Health Science in 2003. She has spent the last 10 years working in Occupational Health. She currently directs return-to-work rehabilitation programs. Her programs include FCE, work site assessment and job demand analysis, rehabilitation, work fitness programs and graduated return to work programs. Ms. Williams aim for the beginning of this new millennium is to educate both health providers and payers on the importance of utilizing objective measures of function for safe and viable return to work decision making. She contracts to BodyLab in Wellington,NZ. Her previous physiotherapy clinic, The Physio, became the first PWPE provider in New Zealand in 1998, and Jo was certified as an ErgoScience trainer in 1999.
