Angela Kerrison-Smith

Angela completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney (Australia) in 1993. Angela subsequently has worked in Australia, the United Kingdom and Switzerland in the fields of Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Pain Management and Vocational Rehabilitation. In October 2001, Angela started working with Advanced Personnel Management (APM). APM is the largest privately-owned (non-government) vocational rehabilitation provider in Australia, and provides injury prevention and management services to federal, state and local government as well as to all insurance sectors and private industry. Angela has also completed a British Examining Board of Occupational Hygiene, Ergonomics Qualification through the Roben’s Institute - University of Surrey, United Kingdom in 1996.

Her specialization has been focused on the management of orthopedic injuries (multi-trauma, amputee management and working with people with chronic pain syndrome) in order to facilitate a safe and sustainable return to gainful employment. Angela has been a trainer of the PWPE since 2003 and has valued the robust nature of the PWPE in the fields of Risk Insurance and Medico-Legal assessment work in Australia. In addition, Angela is the National Training and Development Manager for Advanced Personnel Management. This position focuses on developing, delivering and brokering for professional development opportunities for allied health staff and employment consultants working in the vocational rehabilitation and employment sector.
